The Energy Tourism Promotion Council (hereinafter referred to as "The Council") will promote the protection of personal information by establishing the following protection policy, building a system for protecting personal information, and ensuring that all Council members recognize the importance of protecting personal information.
Acquisition of Personal Information
The Council will acquire personal information in an appropriate manner.
Personal Information Management
In order to ensure information is accurate and up to date, and to prevent unauthorized access, loss, damage, falsification, or leakage of personal information, the Council will take necessary measures such as maintaining a security system, developing a management system, and thorough education of employees and will also implement safety measures and strictly manage personal information.
Purposes of the use of personal information
We may ask and register personal information such as name, e-mail address, telephone number, during a customer inquiry. Such personal information will not be used for any purpose other than that for which it was provided. Personal information received from customers will only be used to send e-mails and materials to answer their questions and provide information about our business.
Prohibition of disclosure/provision of personal information to third parties
The Council will appropriately manage personal information and will not disclose it to third parties except in the following cases:
* When we have the customer's consent.
* When we disclose to contractors to whom we outsource our business in order to provide services requested by the customers.
* When it is necessary to disclose the information in accordance with laws and regulations.
Personal Information Security Measures
The Council takes all possible security measures to ensure the accuracy and safety of personal information.
Inquirty of the person
If a customer wishes to inquire about, correct, or delete his/her own personal information, we will respond to the request after confirming the identity of the customer.
Compliance with laws, regulations, and norms, and reviews
The Council will comply with Japanese laws, regulations, and other norms applicable to personal information in its possession, and will review and improve the contents of this policy as appropriate.
